PRP Hair Restoration

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy is a four-step treatment that involves drawing your blood, spinning it to separate the different blood components, extracting the platelets, and injecting it into the scalp. Platelets contain growth factors that can increase the number of hair follicles in treatment areas. Studies also show PRP triggers natural hair growth by increasing blood supply to the hair follicles, thus increasing the thickness of the hair.

What to Expect

During Your Treatment

Our medical professionals will draw a small amount of your blood which is then spun to separate the red blood cells from the PRP.  Your PRP will then be injected into your scalp with a very small needle in a series of injections to stimulate hair growth. This procedure is very well tolerated by most people and no numbing is needed. Typically, appointments take one hour.

Side effects may include swelling, bruising, and discomfort at the injection sites.

Is This Service Right For Me?

Are you suffering from hair loss or thinning hair? Then, PRP hair restoration is likely a treatment you can benefit from.  We do recommend that you see your primary care doctor if you are suffering from any form of hair loss, however, this is a great treatment that can be done in conjunction with other treatments. Results are typically better if you are a man or woman in the early stages of hair loss. Typically, 3-5 sessions are needed, about one month apart. You may not be a candidate if you have stage 5 or greater hair loss, a scalp infection, skin cancer, low platelets, active chemotherapy, or active thyroid imbalance.
